Ron Hornaday, Jr.

Welcome to the Official web-page for 4-Time NASCAR Truck Series Champion, NASCAR Hall of Fame's Ron Hornaday, Jr.

Ron has allowed me the honor to build this page, yes it's me, Scott from the only ever official website  RonHornaday.com. This page is to bring back some history of our driver and to show you all what Hornaday has been up too. First off Ron and Lindy say thank you to all of the wonderful fans for staying loyal and continue to follow along on their racing adventures.

In the begining of his retirement from competing in NASCAR full time, Hornaday went back to his old school ways of hands on working in the shop. His legacy on the west coast before Dale Earnhardt called him to run the first ever DEI NASCAR Truck in 1995, Hornaday was a car builder. Ron Hornaday's Victory Circle was one of the west coast South West Tour Series championship shops back in the day. In this retirement stage Hornaday started working on Dirt Late Models and while working with Billy Workman, Jr. they stumbled across one talented young driver. This driver, Landen Lewis. A young kid out of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina who has a vintage yet modern driving style. They formed Team Hornaday creating a banner that was gaining respect with every win. As they worked in the dirt late model forum they found great success, yet to get Lewis to where he wants to be, NASCAR, they had to take a different course. They teamed up with Joe Ryan Racecars out of Mooresville and Landen found success in the U.S. Legend Car series. The success came on dirt, road course and asphalt.

Hornaday's daughter, Candice had formed, Team Hornaday Development and they joined up to create a development program assisting other drivers on their way to victory. Team Hornaday Development now manages drivers from Legend Cars to NASCAR. With Landen they have found amazing success moving him up to ARCA Series racing. Landen won in only his 2nd ever start in the series as well as in his first ARCA West Series start at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, California.

Continuing A Legacy

Not a Hand-Out... rather a Hand-Up. As Dale Earnhardt mentored and guided Hornaday's major NASCAR carrier, Ron is paying it forward by giving back to young racers some 3 decade later.
